1. I forwarded my emails but I dont get any notifications. What's up?
Check that you created your username at instamail.me and that you are authenticated in the app. Check out the authentication screen bellow.

Then check your email accounts. For the example bellow only emails sent to me@home.com and me@office.com will generate notifications. An email sent to me@home.com and forwarded to youraccount@instamail.me is not identifcal to an email sent by you from me@home.com to youraccount@instamail.me. An forwarded email will have in the To: field the recipient of that email. Our server filters the incoming emails based on the recipient and your email list. That's why emails sent by you to instamail.me will be treated as spam, while emails forwarded by your email server will trigger notifications.

From version 1.3 you have the possibility to disable the spam filter, that is to set your account to generate notifications for every email received at youraccount@instamail.me.

2. I get the notifications but when I press View it launches InstaMail instead of iPhone's Mail app. Why is that?
This is not a bug. Unfortunately Apple's framework doesn't have any customization yet for launching the Mail app. Ideally InstaMail should launch the Mail app selecting the email account for which the notification was received.

When this will become available in the iPhone framework we will implement it in our app.
3. I have done everything Q1 says but I still don't receive notifications.
If your iPhone is unlocked or jailbreaked then InstaMail won't be able to deliver notifications to your phone.

This is not a bug. Notifications are sent to iPhones using the Apple Push Notification service. This is the same service used by all applications that send notifications (Yahoo Messenger for example). If you have an unlocked/jailbreaked phone then it will not be able to log into this service in order to receive notifications.
4. I installed InstaMail on my iPod Touch. Sometimes I get notifications, sometimes I don't. Why?
To receive notifications your iPod Touch must be connected to the internet. The only possibility for the iPod Touch is through Wi-Fi. Your device might be offline when you stop receiving notifications.

If you are connected to a Wi-Fi and still don't receive notifications check that the Wi-Fi network you are using doesn't have a firewall that is blocking port 5223. This port must be open to TCP traffic for notifications to work.

For more information you can check Apple's support page: iPhone and iPod touch: About Apple Push Notification Service.
5. I have a jailbroken iPhone and I don't receive notifications. What can I do?
For a device to be able to receive push notifications it must be able to register with Apple Push Notification Service. Jailbroken iPhones usually don't allow this.
